Have you ever watched a movie, then dreamt about it?

It took me a long time to realise that we are all professional story tellers. If you think about the process of your childhood bedtime, it involves hearing a story and then falling into slumber. It’s only natural you’re going to think about the last thing that came into your head whilst you sleep.

The 21st century has brought in the culture of Netflix N’ Chill. For me one night this was more of a Disney and Relax, as the idea for Pull My Haircame after watching Disney’s Tangled. Fairy tales are such a key part of our growing up; bending and twisting these concepts of happily ever after is something very common of a maturing mind & something that only a Dream could twist and mangle the way it does.

Think of this – what if Rapunzel had never been found? What if her prince had never been able to rescue her from the tower, and all she’s left with is a deranged aunt bringing her dated media references every few decades as she gallivants about in eternal youth. She tells Rapunzel what it’s like partying with Mick Jagger, experiencing the full force of Sex, Drugs & Rock ‘n’ Roll; while Rapunzel is just left with the narcotics, music and stories of what lies beyond her tower walls.

Sometimes, you just want someone to Pull your Hair.
